Our journey in the marketing industry began back in the 1990’s with Michael growing in his marketing career at IDP Group. It was an exciting time when the internet was just taking off, and websites were becoming a new trend. That’s when J. Michael Roach delved into web development, learned a lot about coding, and found his passion for building websites.
In 2007, J. Michael and his wife Nelly founded Caledon Virtual, initially focusing on real estate industry marketing in the Columbia, MO, area. However, the real estate crash of 2008 hit everyone hard and we had to diversify our client base as a result. At the time, we even had to consider closing Caledon Virtual. But something unexpected happened – our clients kept returning for “just one more project,” and we realized we had something too important to stop.
The name “Caledon Virtual” comes from the street where J. Michael and Nelly lived at the time. While we may have now grown to be more “virtual” than Caledon, the spirit of our beginnings is still a part of what drives us. Our company, born on the idea of being able to live out your calling and control your destiny, has become a business supported by not only the Roach family, and local community but now nationally as well. We believe in working hard and getting results based on what you put in, so our slogan is “Experience Your Potential.”
Today, Caledon Virtual offers five flagship services: web development, SEO, social media marketing, paid search, and email marketing. We offer personalized marketing plans beyond these services too, and we pride ourselves on having our core rooted in these flagship areas. Our company vision is to someday create more marketing companies tailored to client industries for personalized marketing agencies under the Caledon Virtual umbrella.
