Full-time

We are looking for a part-time web developer. This person should have a desire to work behind the scenes with a team to get things done. You’re the type of person that likes to see a large project through from start to finish. You’re great under pressure and thrive working on tight deadlines. Typical work includes making minor edits to new websites in development as well as to current client sites.

We are also looking for a developer who has worked extensively with PHP. We build and maintain websites built using WordPress. Our themes are custom built with the Roots Sage WordPress starter theme that utilizes PHP/Blade, SCSS, javascript and utilizes Yarn to compile assets. We want someone who can dive into both the front end composition of these themes as well as setup and troubleshoot the backend of the theme.

You also take pride in how you communicate with others. You can explain a technical issue or function in a way that someone who isn’t a developer can digest. You have a knack for learning new technology and wanting to grow as a developer. You recognize the importance of asking for help and having code reviews, both to help yourself and others on the team.

We also build custom plugins to solve problems for our client. A strong knowledge of WordPress plugin architecture, MySQL and how WordPress organizes data is preferred. The ideal candidate can also find a needle in a haystack and be able to follow processes when troubleshooting website issues. You know when to check the error logs and when to check the GIT repos for uncommitted changes.
